Senior Java Developer
We're Vicarius, an Israeli-born cybersecurity startup backed by top investors from SF to Tel Aviv, with a mission to beat the biggest challenge of all: security vulnerabilities. Our platform, vRx, is designed to help companies identify, prioritize, and fix security threats in an integrated and automated way—no conventional solutions here!
As a Senior Developer, you'll work hands-on with modern Java, REST APIs, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Mysql and more to build out business-critical features on vRx. You’ll collaborate with product, front-end, QA, support, and sales teams to ensure seamless development, all while handling end-to-end features development that address real-world security needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design new components in the system with a focus on high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Create, test, manage, and peer review code as each developer is required to fulfill multiple roles.
- Work in a small team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of server-side development experience.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Deep knowledge in Java and Spring Framework.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services technologies (SQS, S3, EBS etc.)
- Linux bash scripting and installation of open source platforms (CentOS, Amazon Linux).
- Knowledge in relational and a-relational databases (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch etc.).
- Knowledge in continuous integration (CI/CD) platforms (Jenkins).
- Experience troubleshooting of Apache Tomcat applications.
- Experience troubleshooting of real-time server-side application and multicomponent platforms.
Soft Skills, Education, Other:
- We are a small company. A successful candidate will have a desire to work as part of a small, growing team.
- Ability to study new technologies fast and think outside of the box.
- Ability to work in a team, communicate clearly, adapt, learn quickly, and pay attention to detail.
