Signifyd is seeking a highly skilled, creative and collaborative Sr. Commercial Counsel, reporting to our Managing Commercial Counsel, responsible for reviewing, drafting, revising, negotiating and advising on a high-volume of sales agreements and a broad range of complex commercial transitions. This is for someone who gets deals done. You will primarily support our global sales team in LATAM (primarily Mexico and Brazil) to structure, draft and negotiate a variety of go-to-market agreements.In addition to our go-to-market teams, you will work closely with other key stakeholders to structure and negotiate complex, often bespoke agreements for LATAM.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level to senior attorney. You should enjoy close collaboration with legal and sales colleagues and generally, approach legal issues practically and with a problem-solving mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Excellent drafter and negotiater of a variety of commercial transactions working closely with our Sales organization to close revenue deals.
  • Draft unique bespoke agreements, often from scratch.
  • Support other cross-functional teams, such as marketing, partnerships and product with commercial and vendor transactions.
  • Assist with additional legal projects as necessary to support Signifyd's rapid growth and expansion.
  • Manage numerous projects simultaneously with deadlines and pressures.
  • Exercise sound legal judgment and ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
  • Work on other legal projects as assigned.
  • Think strategically on how we can streamline and improve the operational efficiency of the region.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bacharel em Direito com OAB.
  • 4-8+ years experience, with a strong background in commercial contracts and tech transactions and revenue generating deals.
  • Must be able to conduct commercial negotiations in Spanish and Portuguese
  • A clear concise communicator who can explain complex and nuanced issues in plain and simple terms.
  • Practical approach to drafting and negotiating. Ability to think strategically and outside the box to get the deal done.
  • Experience supporting a global sales organization and keeping pace with a steady volume of commercial transactions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Work for a U.S. based company.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in lean teams and wearing multiple hats.
  • Can successfully manage workload and priorities with minimal oversight.
  • An approachable team player, problem-solver, and a good sense of humor.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with (i) SaaS agreements (ii) payments, fintech or financial institutions and/or (iii) machine learning models.
  • Experience supporting sales for enterprise SaaS, especially negotiating referral, and partnership deals.
  • Experience with global privacy frameworks (i.e. GDPR, CCPA, LGPD)
  • LLM from a US accredited law school
