About the Role
Join us at Lucidworks as the Lead Product Designer and embark on an exciting journey where you'll dive into research and design to uncover user pain points and enhance Lucidworks' products and features. As part of our vibrant and growing team, we value autonomy, collaboration, and putting the user at the center of everything we do!
This is a US based role.
Responsibilities:
- Immersing yourself in a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to deeply understand the context behind each challenge.
- Collaborating with product managers and engineering to deliver amazing product experiences while continuously improving existing ones.
- Crafting user interfaces that are seamless, delightful, and highly effective.
- Championing user-centered design, ensuring it's an integral part of the discovery and solution processes.
- Leading user research alongside product managers and sharing your insights with colleagues.
- Working autonomously, surrounded by supportive peers who trust your expertise.
- Engaging product engineers early and consistently to ensure alignment, fostering a culture of collaboration and partnership.
- Participating in lively design guild meetings and discovery workshops to understand problems, align with colleagues, and generate innovative ideas.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Has an impressive online portfolio.
- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design and 2+ years in product design.
- Has successfully built design systems from scratch and worked with them at scale.
- Thrives in complex product architectures and software environments.
- Embraces agile methodologies and learns quickly to iterate effectively.
- Has a proven track record of collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at rolling out large-scale programs.
- Puts the needs and desires of our customers at the forefront.
- Brings experience in designing for B2B and SaaS products.
