Dragos is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Cloud-oriented Data Engineer (full-stack experience encouraged) to join our product team focused on community defense. We provide tools and support to our Threat Hunter and Intelligence teams, so they can identify threats and operationalize those insights into customer environments. We also provide systems for customers to explore anonymized shared detections and encourage a wider OT security community defense. We set our goal as best in class and are looking for team players who set these same standards for themselves.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet our product team's mission
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technology stack.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Support data ingest of network data into the ELK stack (Elasticsearch).
- Tie all the above together in a React application using Typescript.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience with 1-3 years specifically building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets using public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
- 1+ year(s) of experience with React or similar front-end technology.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data storage and search systems.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
- Software development skills in JavaScript (Node.js). Encourage experience in React using TypeScript for stronger full-stack candidates. Experience in other system and web-backend programming or scripting languages (e.g. Ruby, Python) will be considered.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or similar database stack for storage and complex search.
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technology
Compensation
- Base Salary: $178,000
