Role Description – VP of People

We’re a high growth Tech scale-up, with a propensity to action, a collaborative spirit, driven by a huge global opportunity. We also operate within a highly regulated market, servicing Tier 1 banks, governments & eCommerce platforms. It means alongside a need for agility, we also value operational rigour. You have the opportunity to join Callsign at a pivotal point in our company's history - our transition from a scale-up company into a net revenue-generating company, continuing to deliver Callsign solutions across the world.

Based in Abu Dhabi you will work closely with the Executive Committee and provide vital leadership in shaping and delivering the organisation’s talent goals and business objectives in aspects of HR, talent acquisition, professional development, culture, and employee happiness.

Relocation support is offered and the ideal candidate will have a background of people operations experience in a start-up or high-growth environment and a proven record of getting things done.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of People Operations, People Partnering & Talent Acquisition.
  • Accountable to the Board & Executive Committee (ExCo) for the delivery of Callsign’s People & Talent strategy including the recruitment and retention of high-quality talent.
  • Devise and nurture the overall People strategy across the business, working with direct reports to ensure this is delivered consistently and effectively across all departments and locations.
  • Drive the move away from a scale-up mentality to a more focused, process driven and diligent approach.
  • Funnel ExCo and Board direction to the People team to ensure that the messaging is consistent business-wide and we are pulling in the same direction.
  • Work with your team to ensure that we have appropriate Organisational Development (OD) plans in place for each location. Own the wider holistic organisational design piece.
  • Provide focus to the People team over the coming year, looking at areas for project work, areas to work on and departmental improvements.
  • Chair the Internal Remuneration Committee (RemCo) to ensure company reward and recognition is consistent, competitive and delivered appropriately.
  • Chair the Monthly Manager Forum to ensure messaging is consistent across the company and help build and develop the layers of management under the ExCo.
  • Work with the People Ops Lead to ensure processes are in place to allow us to scale where needed whilst adhering to our security and statutory requirements across each location.
  • Facilitating the opening of offices wherever needed to help maintain company growth.
